I am very curious about the following observation:
After the medical, prior to the passport request, some get letters asking for updated FBI fingerprints (if ever lived in the U.S. for more than a year) and some don't. However, judging from the timeline posted, most people should have the same problem of expired FBI fingerprints, provided they are submitted together with the applicaiton package.
If the security/criminal check is mandatory for every applicant, then why is not everyone required to submit the updated FBI fingerprints?
Does anyone know the answer?
