Question about transfer to local office.

If the case of dependant has been transferred to a local office, will the primary's documents be transferred to the local office even the primary has been approved?
Thx.

Most probably not. They adjudicate each case seperately, so really all they need to verify is that the AOS of the primary is approved. They can easily check that in the computer.

That's strange.

I got my 485 approve notice last week, but got a transfer notice this week which says my case has been transferred to the local office.
BTW, my wife's case has been transferred too.
Why?

did you try to do the passport stamping?

Since you have already received your approval notice, I would go for the passport stamping. If they do the stamp for you, then you are OK with your approval. Try it, you got nothig to lose. Let us know if you whether you could do your stamping. By the way, did you recieved the courtey copy of the approvl notice? Or the approval was just an online status change?

I got the original copy from my lawyer, but hasn't got the courtesy copy.

The fact that you got an approval an then a transfer notice for YOUR case is truly peculiar.
