Question about sponsoring multiple people via Affidavit of Support

As luck would have it, two family members of my wife were selected in DV 2014. Both live in different countries and applied separately.

I have sponsored one person (my wife) in the past when we were getting her K-1 visa. We have since been married for 2 years.

Now, 2 of her family members require Affidavits of Support for their DV-2014 interviews. I am in a good financial situation and would be able to justify the support for both at the same time.

Questions:
Does it matter that i've sponsored 1 other person in the resent past (my wife)?

Will it matter that I am sponsoring 2 individuals at the same time in this case?

In the Affidavit of Support for the 2 individuals this time, when it asks "have you sponsored anyone in the past?", should I state 1 (my wife), or 2 (my wife, and the other person in this DV-2014)?

I attempted to sponsor a family member that applied for a tourist visa in the past, sent them the Affidavit of Support, but they never got past the interview process. Would that also count as someone I sponsored, even though they did not receive the visa?

I guess the bigger question is, are people penalized for being serial sponsors even though it's in good faith and the finances are sound?

Thanks

Alba

From what I understand as long as you can afford to sponsor all the people you want it isn't a problem.

Not sure about the technicalities of what you write when you have offered an AoS to someone who doesn't have a visa yet, but I would think it needs to be noted somewhere. For the person refused a visa - you are obviously not financially liable for them so I can't see it matters, I'm assuming you haven't officially sponsored them as they never entered the US, but read the form instructions very carefully? Hopefully someone with actual experience in this can chip in.
