Question about signing the Certificate of Naturalization

I found the following page with information about what to do after the oath ceremony.

newcitizen.us/after.html

(sorry I cannot post a full link but the forum doesn't allow me unless I have more than 15 messages)

There it says that the signature should match my name exactly as it shows in the certificate.

Is that true? The reason I'm asking this is because I never sign using my full name and my every day signature has nothing really to do with it.

Is it ok to sign with my every day signature the certificate?

Thanks

You will get the correct directions about how to sign your certificate on the day of your oath. If not, ask any immigration official at the oath ceremony.

That website is wrong in many respects, mainly because it is outdated.

The current USCIS policy as laid out in a recent memo is that one should use their everyday signature on the certificate and the photos.

I was told to sign the same way I did on my picture during N400 interview (the same picture was glued on the naturalization certificate). I used my everyday signature (not full printed name). I think it's inconsequential what way you sign.

I agree with this comment. In most cases, the only time theis cert. is used is at the SS office, and when applying for a passport. Whether the signature is your full name, or your regular signature doens't seem to matter in either of these cases.
