I saw a few people mentioned inquiry i-140 status through a senator but I am not sure how exactly it is done.

How can I find senator information?
Do you contact senator directly or through lawyer?

Your explaination will be highly appreciated.

If I was you I would contact the congressman in my area because the senators have a lot of duties as they are working for the whole state, but the congressman have less duties and they respond faster, so my advice will be to contact your congressman, and to find his/her information, you will need to know the name of your congressman, and go online www.google.com and type the name for the congressman and you’ll find his/her info.
You contact any one you want directly, don’t forget you contact these people to avoid paying fees to the lawyers :), and let me know if you need further help, or have any more questions.

hi,
The best way to find and contact your senator/congressman is to go to aila.org website and enter your zip code in the box on the left margin of their main homepage. It will return with the list of senator and congressmen, their voting records, intiatives etc etc and more importantly thier personal webpages. there you can get all the necessary info and most have a PRESET email form letters (including immigration related issue) which can be used to communicate with thier staff.

Hope it helps, Good luck.

Thank you!

Hi Ibusch28 and Ashgur,

Thanks for those GREAT suggestions! I will definitely try. I really learned a lot here...

Have a good weekend, and good luck to you all!

comp_chem is right

Till you RD has passed 30 or more days from the date currently published by TSC, contacting senator/Congressman may not be of much help. If I were you, ( actually my dates are 140 - RD/ND 12/13/03, 485 - RD/ND 01/26/04) I would wait a couple of months.

However I have one question - if I have not even received the FP notice and many others after me have received it, should I tell the congressman t help me with FP atleast ? Does it work this way ?
