Question about Selective Service

I need some feedback from anyone who has dealt with selective service issues. This is for a friend of mine who got his GC 3 months before his 26th B-Day. He did not register for SS. He did not know about the SS requirement until long afterwards. He has a citizenship interview coming up next month. Will such a short time frame till his 26th Bday cause any issues? Any input is greatly appreciated.

NOT a big deal. all he needs is letter from SSS , its called status letter.
there is website u will find all the answers on it and all the information.

Hi Albert,

I am in the same boat. I got my gc 1 one before my 26th B'Day recently. I have also sent a Status information form. But I was wondering if you can tell me what reply did you get back from Selective Services.
