Question about second FP

Hi everybody,

Today I received the notice from BCIS for second FP. My case info is:

RD: 09/25/2001
1st FP: 12/30/2001
RFE response received by BCIS: 02/24/2003
2nd FP schedule date: 05/06/2003

Could somebody help me on the following issues:

(1) Could I go to do the 2nd FP ahead of scheduled date, since it is on May 6th, but today is only April 11, we don't want to wait for another month.

(2) nowadays, it may take how long for FBI to review the FP and sends results back to BCIS after they receive my second FP. I worry it may take even a year for them.

Please help me out!!! I have be waiting for so long but today it turns out that our long journey is still endless. I am so frustrated!!!

There is nothing harm in trying your luck by going early.
With my experience, If FP are ok, info goes to INS in less than a week.
I had FP with ink, INS got update in 8 days.
My wife had electronic FP, INS had info the next day.

My guess is FBI and INS are collecting as many as FP as possible to keep their database current. So it should not take long.

Just want to know when and where did you and your wife get you FPs done. I heard from somebody that nowadays FBI takes several mons to do background checking. Hopefully you got yours done recently.
