Hi all,

My oath ceremony is scheduled for May 15 at 2:00 PM (I have to be there at 11:45 AM). Could anyone who had his/her ceremony in San Antonio tell me how long it lasted? I am planning on a celebration party in the evening in Austin and would like to know what time I can invite friends over.

Also were they photo oportunities during the ceremony (for example crossing the stage to get the naturalization paper, ...)?

Thank you for your time and your help,

DC.

Dates

Glad to see somebody from Austin.
can you post you Priority date, date of fingerprintng and dtae intervie letter received ?

Forgive me but my memory is little sketchy. the ceremony was not very long. i think the whole thing took like 2 hrs. u can go and take photos. if u know some one who is attending u can ask them to take pictures. they allowed guests also when we were there. they were not very strict and they were very friendly. i think u can make it back to austin easily

Thank you for the information, it will help me schedule the celebration dinner a little later than I had planned. I had read a report about a ceremony in Austin lasting 45 mins...

Otherwise do you remember if your guests were sitting with you or seperately?

Thanks again for all the information.

I attended the oath ceremony at the "Institute of Texan culture" building in San Antonio on March 9, 2006. The whole thing lasted about 2 hours.

-- They allowed people to take video and still photos
-- You can bring your family and friends
-- The Judge and the guest speaker even posed with anybody that wanted a photograph taken
-- Family and friends had a seperate but close sitting area

Hope this helps.

Regards,
