Question about non-RIR process?

Hi,

I'm talking to a potential employer about the GC process, but am thinking of filing through non-RIR. This is because I have only a 20-day window in which to file the application to use the 7th year extension option (i.e. my Year 5 is ending soon).

However, my employer mentions that I need to be an existing employee and show paystubs in order to file through non-RIR. I am not sure if this is true and would appreciate some feedback from the gurus on this board.

Thanks,
