Question about NIW RFE

Hi all,
I got an RFE for NIW 140 filed in july at TSC. They are just asking me to submit published matrials and citations index.
I have already approved EB1A 140.
Is it neccessory to answer RFE? Your input will be greatly appriciated.

Since you have EB1A I-140 approval already, you can happily withdraw the NIW. It's probably not too good an idea to just ignore the NIW RFE without reply or withdraw, since that will lead to denial of the NIW eventually, and you will have a record of visa application denial - probably it does not matter once you got your GC, but it is always good to keep things nice and clean, isn't it? :)

By the way, do you have the # of the IO? That sounds quite similar to my NIW RFE, and I wonder whether the same guy reviewed our cases (my IO's # is 1010).

Also, I noticed a relatively high percentage of RFEs issued to NIWs filed to the TSC in July 2007 (from trackitt.com) - as we all know, historically TSC is quite friendly in terms of EB-1A/NIW approvals. Does this mean now the TSC is also getting tough on EB-1A/NIW? The other possibility is that maybe some petitions were filed in a rush during the July 2007 VB fiasco and were not very well prepared, and thus the increasing percentage of RFE. Apparently, that's not the case for goviks here, since he/she has EB-1A approval, the one usually carries substantially higher threshold. That makes me wonder the other possibility: perhaps the poor guys at the TSC were flooded with EB-1A/NIW cases and they were overwhelmed, so they issued RFEs to buy themselves more time to process these cases. That reminds me about one year ago the massive RFEs issued to EB-1A PP cases, which some people suspected for the same reason (to buy more time).....

CD4help,
Thanks for you excellent suggestion. Any idea what is the procedure to withdraw I140? yes, TSC is till faster than NSC in processing 140s. Many of the 140 cases submitted in 2006 are not yet processed at NSC.
My RFE is very simple. They are asking for pubs and citation index, although I have submitted them already.
Thanks again for suggestion.
