Question about my citizenship application

I am a GC holder for the past five years. I initially got my GC through asylum. I applied few days ago for my citizenship after the 5 years wait period. When i filled the form, i chose the " 5 years of GC" instead of " 3 years married to US citizen " though i married a US citizen by birth this summer.

I live in CA and I submit my application this Aug.

my questions

- Is my application processed as a wife of a US citizen or an asylee ?

- Is my application is sent to NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER due to the name change i requested to change my last name to my Husband's last name?

- Will the process change just because I am married to citizen?

- How long does the whole process take?

thanks
K

You were not married to a USC for 3 years when you filed, so that doesn't apply. You should count about 4 years and 9 month from the "resident since" date on your green card, which should be a year before your green card was appoved.

thanks acr for your response.

i looked already looked at the Processing Time Information for the NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER but there is no info for N400.

the only once that show N400 is field offices. is that what i am suppose to look at depending on where i live?

any info is appreciated

regards,
K

Off course. You need to sent your N-400 to the office deoending on where you live. Now that you are a Permanent Resident, you are as any other green card holder.

No National Benefits Centers any more.
Good luck!
