Question about moving after 485 approval

I received the 485 approval notice to my current address. In a week's time, I will move. I remember reading on the forum, that I have to call NSC to update the address. But the option has change of address for pending cases. Since my case is not pending anymore, should I use any other option ? Should I write to VSC indicating the change of address.

I need to update the address so that actual gc would be mailed to the new address. My understanding is that, GC mail will not be forwarded ? Is this true ?

Are there any other options that I am not aware of ?

TIA

Cheers

--No. use the same option. Till they issue the plastic card, you could update your address on your case.

--Wont hurt.

-- While you go for stamping, give the address change there. That is what i did. I went for stamping with an old address on my approval notice...gave them my new address (with copies of AR11 forms and copy of letter to USCIS). I got my GC at my new address.

No need to call NSC since you already are approved.

What you can do is:

1) to go for stamping at your local BCIS office and give your new address to immigration officer who will stamp your passport. She/he will fill out I-89 form (biodata form) and she will update your address on the computer system. Plastic card will be mailed out to your new address.

2) to file your AR-11 form within 10 days of moving out.

That's it.
