question about joint account with my husband, please help!!!

Hi!
I have a question, guys. I am working on filling out all paperwork for I-485 AOS. We tried to open a joint checking account with my husband, but since he has some credit debt, we couldn't open it:( Do you think I can just add my husband to my checking and credit accounts as an authorized user? Will it work at the interview you think???Can we just tell the truth at the interview why we didn't open a joint account together?Thank you so much!

That should work, Car insurance, taxe returns, health insurance, life insurance. all this should help
 
thank you, Bigbull99!Yes, we are working on collecting all these papers. My concern is that we can't open our joint account together now. He is paying off his debt in small amount of money every month, so it will take time before we'll open one together, unfortunately. I hope our both names on all my checking and credit accounts will work.
