I think I have the right board. My wife who is a student visa has applied and filled out all the paperwork she is required. She was filling out the authorization to work paperwork and recieved reciept that all work was reieved.

We recieved a letter today from the INS asking for her to meet in an interview on the 29th of Setpember coming up. Is this normal? The letter says regarding "Work Authorization"

Do I need to have any concern for this? It only asks for her to appear in person.

Nothing to worry

I guess your wife has applied for her EAD at a Local Office of BCIS. Local offices send an appointment letter for EAD issuance which appears like an interview letter.

Please visit the designated ofice of BCIS on the appointment date alongwith copy of EAD application sent to BCIS, copy of the cancelled check made out to BCIS as proof of payment, copy of the documents on the basis of which she is seeking the EAD and two form of identification viz. Driving License, Passport etc.

She should be able to get EAD on the day of appointment. No photo is needed. Local Offices take the photographs on site.

Good Luck!
