Hi ... I recently got married to U.S. citizen and I'm in the process gathering all documents and I'm basicaly done except for one thing.
I entered U.S. as a tourist... then changed my status to F-1 .... (but I never received new I-94, and my case has been pending for last 2,5 years) the only document I have is my I-20 ....and the question is....

What documents should I attach to my petition?

If I attach my I-94 with B-2 stamp (expired 2 years ago) without any other documentation it will look like I'm out of status.... can I attach copy of I-20 and some kind of explanation note? is that enough or do I need anything else?

thank you for help :)

I would attach a copy of the I-94 and a copy of the I-20. The first shows that you've been inspected, the second your current status. I don't think there's much need for explanation.

BTW, what do you mean by "..., and my case has been pending for last 2,5 years"? What case?

The change of status from B-2 to F-1 .... somehow it is still pending ( I'm attending college on the regular basis ) ... I called and send some letters to USCIS requesting copy of I-94 etc. but there was no answer........ when I've got engaged I stopped trying because I thought I would not need it anymore......
