Question about I-140

My Employer filed I-140 in March, 2005 and got it approved in July, 2005. Then filed I-485 in September 2005.. Still pending.. Question is Normally employer give you approved I-140 or not. They didn't gave me anything.
Wondering they should or not.

My company gave me a copy of approved 140. You should atleast get that one.
