I am on H1 in my 6th year which expires in July 2006 on company A. I am getting a pre-approved labor (EB3) from company B. I-140 has to be filed. Can anybody tell me how much time does it usually takes for the I-140 to be approved (from Vermont Center) and can I file for the 7th year extension once the I-140 is filed, or do I have to wait till I get the I-140 approved.
On another scenario can I process the GC from company B without transfering my H1 to company B, while still working on company A's H1.
