I am holding H1 sponsored by a non-profit organization. This H1 does not take any quota. Now, I want to find a job in industry (profit organization). And the new H1 needs quota. I know 2006 quota are all out. I have to wait for 2007 quota. The ealiest petition for 2007 H1 is April 2006 and earliest start date is October 2006. My question is if I can start to work in a new profit company once the company files the petition for me before official approve and before October 2006. It is a very critical issue to my job search.
