Question about H-1 extension

Hi All !

First, some info. My H-1 is about to exprire in Feb 2002, applied for GC in EB3 category, am waiting for my PD to become current (Dec97). At the same time I have opted for CP and have sent my Packet 3 to Bombay. Now, just in case if my PD does not become current by the time my H-1 expires, can I still extend my H-1 as per the new Law ?

Dec 97? Should not even be a cause for worry! You can be almost certain that your date will be current in the next couple of months

on commision basis :) my friend was in a similar situation and his attorney advised against this. pls. consult your attorney.

Regardless of the conflicting opinions about whether you can extend the H1 or not, you are only 3 months away from being current and have a year left on H1. So, don\'t sweat it.
