Question about future employer GC

My scenario :
I work for company X on west coast and they will start my GC process soon, but it will take a very long time. In parallel, I also want to start the GC process through company Y on east coast which will act as future employer and I hope that this process will be much faster.

My questions:
1) Can company Y process GC in parallel without any problems ?

2) Will there be a problem in CP stage for process with company Y, while I am still working on H1 for company X ?

3) Would it be better to go for EAD route for company Y ?

Please help with these questions.

2) NO as long as you are ready to join the company 'Y'
3) by EAD, you mean I-485 right ? yep I-485 will also be fine, you can join company Y after your green card or if you want, not join Y at all & use AC-21 after 6 months of I-485

For my second question where I will be doing CP with the company Y (future employer), would it be a risk since it will be a long time before my CP interview comes and the interviewer can ask why company Y has waited so long with the offer ? Besides a valid offer letter, how can I convince the interview officer ?

Also, if they ask for paystubs or anything like that during the interview, I will have none for company Y since I've never worked for them. In other words, I don't know if CP really works for people who are filing their GC under future employer category.

Any idea ?

CP is ment to work for "Future Employement".. Your LC is justification of why they are waited for you & they will not ask for paystubs from "Y" if you have never worked with them. They can ask for paystubs from "X" to see if you are still working in same job profile etc....

Actually, even though my present employer said they will do my GC, things are getting worse and the company may shut down soon. I may be forced to return home to India.

Can I still apply for the GC through company Y as future employer, while I'm living in India ? I guess even in this case, the CP interview should not be a problem, right ? I haven't heard of anyone doing something like this, which is why I'm very tense if it will work or not.
