Question about FINGERPRINTS

Do we need to have fingerprints taken once a year till adjustment is made? July 15, 2004 was the last time FP were taken. In August 2005, I am going for a semester abroad with a program from my university (if everything goes right). I am afraid of being out of the country, and delaying my adjustment process if another fingerprint might be needed ... I'll be gone from mid august to end of december.

Anyone has personal experiences to report?

Any answers or suggestions ... ?

My dates are stated bellow.

I know everyone is going nuts with all the information going on with real id ... will it be included caps removal?; what parts will be included?

yada yada yada....

but if anyone here has answers for my questions above, I will really apreciate it :)

Well nothing is certain with USCIS..so if you do travel outside make sure somoene here in the states is reading your mail. YOu may get another appointment for Fingerprints or you may not...you cant just assume that since you are not under the timeframe, they wont ask for you.

Maybe your parents or somoene you trust can be in the lookout for anything from USCIS. Another thing would be to register yourself on USCIS's website and put your LIN#..that way you can check every week to see if something is happenign with your case on the internet....usually your case status gets updated if they mail you for something...

Dont make the mistake of forgetting about USCIS..they love you too much and can surprise you anytime...anywhere....just be on the lookout!
