Question about Finger-printing notice

Here is the situation.

Today, I got my Finger-printing notice (scanned copy) from my lawyer. USCIS sends out two copies – one to the lawyer and one to the applicant. The one, which was I supposed to get might have might have gone to my old address.

Well, I told my lawyer to send me his copy. Hopefully he will do it soon.

But I also read it somwhere, that I can also take a photocopy instead of original one - is that okay? So can I take the printout of the scanned copy to the appointment i.e. if the lawyer copy does not arrive in time?

Anyone in/faced this situation? Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Thomson

I was also in the same situation. Ask your lawyer to overnight the original FP notice to you. It is always better to take the original.

The scan might work. But the ASC uses the bar code on the FP notice, in all probability, to report the biometrics back to USCIS.

Photocopy is enough. I've seen some people who came with me had only photocopy. All that they need is the Application Number in clear.

Bar Code?? Is there a barcode which they use? Do they scan the Notice when you go for your appointment? Barcode usually indicate that they will scan something right there - do they? Let me know.

All I have heard is to take passport/driver license and the notice.
