I posted this question in another thread also but am posting here also because it is kind of urgent. I apologize for duplicate post.
Can someone please tell me what reason did you give for applying for AP, i.e. attachement to Part 7.
In earlier APs, I had just used the following with success:
"Travel abroad to visit family and friends. Since I have filed an application for adjustment of status, I am eligible to receive an advance parole"
Will this suffice now as well? Have they become more strict with reason etc?
Also, what are the attachements needed for the application? I am not sure about this:
"If you are in the US, you must attach :
a) a copy of any document issued to you by the CIS or fomer INS showing your present status in the US; and
....
c) if you are an applicant of adjustment of status, a copy of the CIS reciept as evidence that you filed for 485"
In my case my H1 expired long ago and I am on AOS pending status. Does this mean I will only need 485 reciept as both docuements?
