question about EAD renewal

Hi folks, I have applied for my EAD renewal and AP. My previous EAD is valid till Nov. 10,2003. I have applied only a week back. Howevr I am not using EAD and is on H1. My question is if new EAD is not recieved by Nov10, do I need to do anything even if I am not using EAD. Any suggestion will be highly appereciable.

just for your info I got my EAD which is valid from th edate BCIS approved the case later than expiration of previous EAD. Not using EAD.

Did you mean that if the spouse used EAD, then the major applicant's H1B will be automatically invalidated and has to use EAD as well? I hope this is not true.
