Question about EAD and H1B after applying 485

My wife was on her H1B before and expired two month ago. Before the expiration, I got EAD for both of us. Does she still need to extend any other status (H1B or ?) to use with EAD? Or EAD itself is sufficient to support her to stay and work? Thank you for any advice.
