I recently i sent in my Bio/325A and medical exmination on september 15, 2005 and i would just like to know how long does it take for certified mail to reach USCIS and how long does it take for them to update my case status online.

mail

i sent my BIO/Medical on the same day as you (sep 15) and my case was updated as of sept 21. i sent mine using priority mail. i guess yours should be faster than mine but anyway give them one more week before calling.

Priorty Mail or Certified Mail?

Fastest mail by order;

1-Express mail -arrive the next day.No matter how far is going to.
2-Prority mail -depends how far is going to;may take up to 5 days to arrive.
3-certified mail - depends how far is going to:may take up to 7 days to arrive.
After receiving your mail,your case is updated the next day.
Good luck.
P.S:certified mail is a regular mail with a receiving confirmation(You will receive a green card stating that your mail has bee received.

Certified mail gets there in 3 days. You can track your certified mail at usps.com

Exactly. I always send it certified and it takes no more than 3 days. Usually even in 2 days!

Its the best form since you get the stamped greencard proving delivery. That card has saved me one time when CIS tried to tell me I never sent something in on time.

Like wantmygcnow said - you can track your package if you send via certified mail.
