I don't know in Canada, but if it's like here in the US, a lawyer has nothing to do with it.
You can obtain a copy (or directly the original) of your marriage certificate from City Hall where you got married.
You could obtain BC from local authorities too, if you are a Canadian-born.
Actually, BC can be obtained where you were born. That's in every country, usually.
http://www.immd.gov.hk/ehtml/address_5_1.htm, this web site is from HK death and birth department which issue birth cert. HK birth cert are in english and chinese. So u no need to worry about translation.
Do u lose your birth certificate? I sent my birth certificate (Hong Kong)without certify to VSC but now I still hasn't get any REF. I assume it should be OK!
Why didn't you tell about this is your first post of this thread? Seriously,
I agree with Cherr1980, In your first post said you were in Canada but you did not say your were born in HK, In Fact you did not even specify what you needed cert. copies of.
If you expect people to be able to help you here you need to be better about the info you give, we shouldn't have to extract the correct info from you.
