Question about birth certificates

My impression was that you need to submit the birth certificate from municipality (with partial information) + two affidavits. In a recent post, I saw that even with these documents RFE was generated.

Have some of you sent more than the above information while applying for 485. Or, have you found the above documentation sufficient.

Thanks

You need three documents to avoid RFE.

1st case:
If you have a birth certificate and the registration was done in the year you were born, and your name, your parents name clearly mentioned on it. In this case the birth certificate is enough.
But it is rare case, very few people will fall in this type.

2nd case

You may not have birth certificate.
Or your birth certificate just mentioned you as a baby boy/girl and your name not mentioned on it.
In this case you need to take a ( DOB information)Non-Avalability certificate from muncipality and should submit two DOB affidavits.
The affidavits can be from your parents and/or nearest relatives who were born atleast 18 years before you.

3rd case

You registered your birth very recently.

You need to subit the DOB certificate, registered very lately.
Also need to submit two affidavits to avoid RFE.

I hope I gave most of the scenario\'s. There may be few more scenario\'s which I never heared about.

Hope this helps.
