Question about Asylum rights

Hello. I'm asylum in USA. For that status only I applied, i mean i had a problem in my country. And my wife got same status as my wife, we are from same country ( but she had not problem there ). Recently, i have heard a rumor, that if my wife had not problem in country from where i had problem, but even if she also has status from that country, she can visit this country. Is that true ?
