Question about AOS interview

Hi,

This is my first time posting, but I have to say that this forum has been very helpful with what to expect during the AOS process.

My Mother recently filed her Adjustment Of Status forms, (I-485, I-485A, & I-765) based on an approved petition that was filed on her behalf by my Aunt. She recently received the NOAs for the forms, and has scheduled her fingerprinting and biometrics appointment. If everything goes well, and she receives her interview letter, will my Aunt have to accompany her to the interview? Thanks for your help.

I beleive that there would not be any interview for her

I beleived once she send all the requested document ( medical , affidavit of support ) they are going to approve her case for i-485 then she would received the card directly in the mail . my frends mother was in the same situation , she never went to any appointement , she is from NY . green card applied in january 2004 and granted in july 2005 without interview . maybe only people that are requesting adjustment of status trought they spouse are subject to the interview .

Hi philaug28,

Thanks for your reply. My mom has been waiting a very long time to file for AOS, and we just hope that everything goes OK for her. Thanks again for responding. Take care.
