question about after you get married with j1.

my fiancee and i are getting married soon, she is on a j1 visa, she is not subject to the 2 year rule. her visa ends on july 5, 2010. i heard that after you get married you can do an AOS to let her remain in the us. i understand that it takes a while to get all the forms and documents ready for the AOS. i heard that you can get something befor that will say your in the process of getting the paperwork ready for the aos that will let her remain in the us after it expires. what is it called and what steps do i have to take to get more of a window of time to get everything ready for the AOS.

If she is NOT subject to the 2-year rule, there are no restrictions to do anything! She doesn't need any of the waiver crap.

I do not know about the AOS. You might want to ask on a different forum since it's not J1 specific. Good luck.
