Question about 551 stamping

My current passport will be expired on next May.
Can I get stamp with this passport or I need extend passport before stamping?
I already reserved stampiing date for next week, and I want keet this.

get two extra copies of photos. The officer will stamp your approval on a card instead of the passport. If possible get your passport extended . Its hardly takes time if u appear in person.

I am in the same boat mine is expiring in april 05. It takes a month for me to renew my passport so my attorney told me that get the stamp first and then send your passport for renewal. He also told me once I get my new passport I can get the stamp again within few minutes. Actualy he told me I can get as stamps as many times as I want.

He suggested that dont delay your stamping for anything.

so I am planning to go for stamping on Jan. 27.....good luck
