Question 1 on N400 form

Hello - I am planning to fill my N-400 for applying for citizenship. The first name and last name on question 1, matches with what my green card has. But the green card does not show my full middle name in the name field on the top. It only shows my middle initial with one letter on the top. Though at the bottom of the green card, where data is printed in this format <First name><Last Name><Middle Name> my full middle name appears.

What should I do in this case for question 1A where it asks for my full middle name and question 1B where it asks my for name as it appears on the green card? If I write my full middle name in 1A and only the middle initial in 1B will that cause any problem?

They expect the green card name to be different from your full legal name in many cases, that's why they specifically put that question there. It's not a problem to have a difference.

Full middle name for 1A, then only use the middle initial for 1B because that's how it appears on the green card. Even if your name was spelled entirely incorrectly on the green card, you would write the same incorrect spelling for 1B.
