Question on VISA stamping for 8th year extension

Hi,

I got my 3 year extension for 8th year.My previous visa expired on Jan 26th and New Extention approval is valid from 3/24/06 to 01/25/06.

I noticed old visa expires 1/26/06 and new visa is valid from 3/24/06. Does this gap makes me out of status?

I did applied before my visa expiry date. I was told that if you have your receipt notice then u will not be out of status.IS this true?

My wife wants to visit India. Will there be a problem for visa stamping? she is going to chennai.

u can continue to work for the employer with the reciept notice.
For stamping, I think u need the approval notice and not reciept notice, but please check with lawyer if they allow reciept notices for stamping.

As far as stamping in Chennai is concerned, I recently did my 7th year stamping. It was cool, they just check your job description and w2s, paystubs to make sure you are getting paid regularly. They ask these questions even for h4 visa.
 
Wait for H1 Approval (if you& your wife) can, and get stammped in Canda than Chennai.

Nothing comman, they may ask any new docs which u r not aware. All I am saying don't take chance.

My 8th year extension was pending since 9 months which was applied on July 2005. The query for employer (from-to dates) was answered on Aug 2005. No response since then.

Now my question is what are the chances of getting my H1 approval if i go through another company premium processing with my existing pending petion and expired 1-94.

Friends am in mental worry as my family is struck in India due to this.
Please help this clarify.Please.
 
Take consultation from a good law firm.
I would recommend Khanna, Murthy, Perlitsh (My wife's lawyer - very very good lawyer). Murthy could be of dual help because they can even help with paperwork for ur family in Chennai
