Query on AP issuance after 485 approval

Hi ,

My family are making travel plans and I need to make a decision based on whether INS will still issue an AP (advance Parole) even though the 485 case has been approved.

Our RD is NOV. The family will leave without getting stamped and i have not yet applied for extension of AP (hoping we would be getting 485 approval). If the 485 approval happens before the AP application is processed will INS deny the AP or will it still issue the AP. Anybody with similar experience, would really appreciate some help.

If you hear approval message before the travel, better wait and the stamping done before you leave.

Otherwise, wait till you receive AP. I think it better not to leave without AP in hand.

AP is issued to people who are present in US. Also if 485 is approved INS will deny AP, as AP is not required once you get your approval. The best bet in these situation is to travel either after getting AP in hand or Approval and stamping done.
