Hello I485 Fellows,

I have my I485 Pending for more than a year. Right now I am trying to start my own company (LLC). Of course, I will still keep my full-time job with my employer sponsoring my GC process. My question is: am i against law, or is there any possibility that this kind action will jepordize my case or get myself any kind trouble?

Your comment/feedback/discusssion are highly appreciated.

quail,

1. You do not need to be a permanent resident to start your own business.
2. You can start your own business even on H1B (Many in this forum had done in the past and I am sure Rajiv had helped them do that).
3. You need not be a full time employee for the employer sponsoring your GC. Assuming that your 140 is approved, you may join any employer who offers similar job.
4. If you don't have the H1B, make sure you keep your EAD valid at all times.
