Qn regarding the second FP notice..

Hi,
My dad got the second fingerprint notice for his re-entry (I131) permit application this week and the letter says "FBI was unable to process your fingerprint card....." and the scheduled date for his second FP is in Feb. Since he is leaving US next week, can he go this week for his FP?. Thanks

He can certainly try, sometimes they will let people in, and sometimes not. If he has a copy of his travel confirmation (airline ticket, itinerary, or something similar), that may increase his chances.

Finger print

Usually USCIS finger print scheduling are not too busy. It may depending on what city you are in. Officer really helpful and they will do it early. I have done many times before my fringer print appointment.
