Hello,
I am about to complete 6yrs of my H1B visa by June 2007. I have also filed for GC with my current employer. As per the current processing times for I140, I guess my I140 will be approved before Dec 2006.
Q1: Is it true that if my I140 is approved before the 6yrs have completed, then I can get a 3 years extension for my H1B visa instead of the 1 year extension?
Q2: If true, then can I switch companies and work for another company for next 3 years, once I get the 3 yrs extension on my H1B visa. Once I switch the jobs then I might or might not continue processing my Green Card with the current employer. I am more concerned whether I can work for the next 3 years with another employer once my 6 yrs with the current employer are over.
Please let me know your responses for the above questions.
