Public assistant (food stamp) & Citizenship

Hi all,
If any Green card holder (holding GC for 14 months) applied for Food stamp, does he will get any trouble while apply for U.S. citizenship?

Having obtained/received public benefits (such as food stamps, medicaid, etc) won't stop you being a naturalized citizen, nor officer would even ask about them. But being just a green card holder, you cannot be eligible for food stamps in most of states in the US.
