Hi

1.If a PR applies forpublic assistance such as medicaid and foodstamps will it be reimbursed from the sponser? My common sense says yes but do they ever really do that?
2. If i'm a PR and my infant son holds a tourist visa will I have problems at admission if we travel together?

If your son was born outside US after you became a LPR, he can be admitted into US as an LPR.

Yes he was but hes not entitled for a transportation letter since ive been to the us without him since birth

Most likely they won't grant the benefit in the first place. Generally an LPR needs to have a GC for at least 5 years to be eligible for those.

My common sense says yes but do they ever really do that?

It doesn't happen often, but in this tight economy where states are hurting for money I'd expect them to be more likely to do it.
