Proving 3 months of state residency?

Hi there,

Could you let me know what documents I will need to bring to prove that I was a resident in the Garden City DO catchment area for three months prior to my application being submitted and in the months while the application was pending? I live with roommates and am not on the lease, and none of the utility bills are in my name.

My pay stubs do show my home address, however, I am being laid off at the end of the month, so I will not have a pay stub for February (my interview is end of Feb). I didn't get a driver's license in this state until last week because I never drive here (I know, I know, I was supposed to do it before...). Can I bring a copy of my lease with my roommate's name on it, and bank statements proving that I gave him a check every month with 'Rent and Utes' in the memo line? I have that proof...

Am I going to run into problems?

I don'tthink you need february paystub for feb when interview is done. If three months is necessary, then you can use paystubs in Novenber or
even last july because you filed in last october if paystubs already used your current addrees in those months.

There is also a chance the IO just believe you and do not bother.
