is the drivers license the olny proof of residence if I want to start my citizenship process?

No you will need proof you live and reside in the US, bills, home information, or apartment rents, Tax documents that you paid taxes etc. Car registrations, payments etc. Even work pay stubs and the such showing that you actually live in the US.

A drivers licence shows nothing that you live in the US. It just shows at one point you got a licence but you could be living anywhere in the world and still have a valid drivers licence.

So get all your home/apt stuff ready, tax records, home bills you have paid that show you are maintaining your residence, car payments if any, work stubs etc...

Well I'm going to exercise my right to disagree a little bit here. :)

In most straightforward cases, the IO will just ask to see your drivers license (or State Id) as proof that you do indeed reside at the address you gave on the N-400. They do this because they must check that you live within the jurisdiction of their DO.

Typically the only time you will need additional proof (such as pay stubs, utility bills etc) is if there is a question about the legitimacy of a marriage, or if you have spent considerably time abroad and need to prove that you were only absent temporarily.

Tax returns may be required, but once again, these are supporting evidence used to show that you always kept current with taxes, and never claimed non-resident status while abroad.
