Airside Transit Visa system seemingly is one of the balatantly unjust systems EU countries have created just because *they can*. Please write to Tony Blair and let him know what you think. Here is what I wrote

I want to comment on the unfair Direct Airside Transit Visa Sytem. As a national of India residing in the USA, I have to obtain a transit visa at the UK embassy whenever I travel through UK, whether or not I even get off the plane. The money doesn't matter, but one has to make a trip to the nearest embassy often 100s of miles away, where one is given the attitude that is only shown to beggers. Understand that I DO NOT want to get out in your country, If the airline flies me through there IT IS YOUR BENEFIT NOT MINE. This practice clearly borders on extortion and must be abandoned.
