Pros and Cons of going for FP early

Lot\'s of people has gone for FP earlier than the notice date. Can somebody
share some Pros and Cons of going early? Or is it just Pros ?

Some of my details:

PD: 03/1999
I-485 ND: 10/02/00
EAD AP received 01/2001
FP ND : 02/05/01 schedule for 04/05/01 ( That\'s pretty far away, right?)

I have same situation. Got FP notice at 2/10/01, the appointment date is 4/10/01. I went to San Jose office and did it at 2/13/01. FBI saied they cleared and send to INS at 2/14/01. I called INS 2/28/01, and was told she can\'t see my FP information, it might take 1 month for this informatin shown up in her computer.

Anybody knows how that works? Early FP really helps?
