Proof of Settlement Fund when Landing

Please light me up.

To land by air Apr-28, what kind of fund proof is acceptable? For a single person, the amount is C$9,420. A letter from my bank showing balances, monthly statements, or it has to be money order, traveler's cheque, or bank's official/cashier check?

For SIN, can I go to any HR Dept. and have the card mailed to someone in another city, just like PR card?

A bank statement or other evidence of liquid assets is typically considered acceptable.

SIN cards are obtained via local Humar Resources Development Canada offices, and are mailed to applicants.
