1. I have read in this forum that we should carry the proof of receipt for the fees paid to NVC. We never got a recept from NVC for the fees paid. Is is just the counter copy of the Bank draft?
2. Also mine is a employment based processing. Do i need to take I-134 affadavit of support for my spouse who is on H4. Do I need the supporting documets as required in I-134 like the letter from the employer , letter from bank etc ?

I have a copies of the Bank Draft too. I did not receive any receipt of the $335 paid to NVC. This is what my attorney provided.

Is there a problem with that ???

Thanks,

RK

I will try to give an answer to both the posts:

First, no one said 'proof of receipt'. We advise you to carry
'proof of payment'.

Even this is not a required document. Normally the Consulate
knows that you have made the payment to the NVC. This is
something you can show, IF for some reason they don't have
that information and ask for it.

As proof of payment, carry the counterfoil of the MO (OR)
copy of the Banker's check as the case may be.

I-134: For employment categories you are supposed to provide
the Affidavit of support (I-134) to your dependents who are
applying for IV with you. Carry bank statements for few months.
You will anyway have the employment letter. Enclose a copy
with your dependents papers.

I agree, the consulate will know - also , once of the letters received from the NVC about forwarding the file to the consulate should say sthing like "NVC has received all fees due" or sthing like this - I had one like this from the NVC which I took with me (but did not need) to the Consulate
