Proof of immunization record

I-130 was recently filed and received, and I'm just looking ahead at next steps.

The part where I will require a medical exam + proof of various immunizations --> I'm stumped. I had plenty as a young child but I have long since lost my little yellow vaccination card. My childhood doctor has long since retired, and my current doc has no record that I know of?

Where does one get proof of immunizations, OR should I start going down the list and getting them all updated?

I'm at a loss, I know some are not "age appropriate" and the civil surgeon can check that box off but I don't know which apply and which don't.

Any thoughts on how I should proceed?

- Ask your parents if they have a copy of your vaccination record (photocopies are acceptable as long as they appear genuine)
- If your childhood doctor worked in a clinic with other doctors, ask the clinic if they still have the records
- If you had to show proof of vaccinations to attend school, check whether the school board kept a copy
- Check whether the place where you grew up has a central government database of vaccinations

If you really can't get proof of vaccinations, then you can just have the age-appropriate ones redone. You can get exempted from the chicken pox vaccine if you provide reliable testimony of having had a chicken pox infection during your childhood. I think there are also some vaccines you can get exempted from if a blood test shows that you already have antibodies, but I can't remember which ones. In any case, a civil surgeon would be able to tell you which vaccinations you need to get.

Thank you! My parents have long since passed away and there's no vaccination cards for myself or my siblings that I could track down, that they kept in their files. I will contact the medical office in my hometown and ask how to proceed. The rest is great information, thank you for responding!
