Promotion while waiting for 485?

I am going for my FP on 4/12/2002.
Is it possible to get a promotion before approval of 485?
It will be going from a consultant to Sr. consultant. (In the same company doing same line of work)

Promotion Issue

No, promotion in the same line of work does not really have any bearing. My lawyer was very sure about this. Also given the new law which allows you to change your employer as long as you maintain a similar job, I doubt your promotion with the same employer would matter.
