Promotion during I40/485 pending

I140/485 AP & EAD applied in Nov 2003


EAD approved Dec 2003
AP approved Jan 2004
I140 and I485 pending ....

I was promoted to the next grade within the company. This job has the same job descriptoin as what was stated in my LC with added resposnibility.
I have been asking my managers to hold off the official formal announcement since the last 1 year.

Since filing all my papers in Nov 2003, my lawyers told me to wait 6 months (till June 2004) and have my managers make the promotion official.

1. Is this OK to do without letting the BCIS knowing
2. will i be taking advantage of the AC21 law if I am promoted.
3. Any other tips will be helpful

Hi,
i have same situation,as i got promoted to the next level and 140 is in process but i have applied for CP with 140 instead of I485.
My lawyer also told me to switch to I485 as then i can use my AC21 portability.
But i am in delima over that as i wanna continue with CP, if u have any suggestion or have heard anything regarding my situation kindly pass on.

If your managers and HRs are that cooperative, just ask them to have a agreement on how to respond to RFE. Instead of saying BoxMover III, just respond as BoxMover. It's not a lie, but ...
