It has been close to 2 months since I applied for I-485 with PD of 02/01/2002 after my I-140 was approved (EB2 category). I have been working with the company as Application Developer for more than 6 years now and I have been offered a promotion in the same department under the same manager. The new title is going to be Supervisor Apps Development. Of course, the title change is going to be with increased salary. The core duties (approved in my labor) are going to be essentially same except that I have people reporting to me and I have additional responsibility such as forecasting and resource allocation etc. However, since the company I work for is relatively big, the HR job description is very vague and generic for the new title. When contacted my attorney, she said the core duties should not be changed. Realistically my core duties are not going to be changed and I am sure my manager can send a note to attorney supporting this. My manager has already submitted paper work for my promotion but I am in dilemma as to what needs to be done here. Any valuable suggestions from anyone? Appreciate your response!!
